I know what you mean, my middle mouse doesn't work despite being set in controls.

Howdy Saber...
I've had the same problem since update(s) 9. I thought it was due to my switching to my new computer (holiday gift) but I believe it was one of the updates or possibly Windows 11 (came with new machine) which the CPU in my former gaming laptop wasn't recognized by, but I zeroed in on the updates ultimately.

For as long as I could recall I used my center button/wheel (mouse 3) to "headlook".... push on... push again to center it. Now I need to push and hold #3 and use the trackball (I have a Logitech Trackball) to look around; it centers again when I release the little wheel. Actually, it's a bit better/easier not having to remember to re-center manually (particularly when I'm busy doing other stuff).

I realize this is an old thread...just wanted to let you know the problem was not rare.

So just an update I figured out my problem I have a tobbii eye tracker and I don't use it as much with elite. So it is usually unplugged. Turns out the app being on stops headlook from working properly and when the tobbii app it turned off headlook works properly.

Saber...

I bought my first personal computer in 1979...Radio Shack TRS and have gone through many since. Though they've become much more fun (and interesting) It really can get to be a muddled mess when it comes to computers.

It's amazing how such a tiny thing can aggravate;). Glad you figured it out.

I had the same issue. I bound the analog stick on my Constellation Alpha to headlook and it simply will not work since I got the Tobii. Never had that issue with my old TrackIR.

Lyvan Kitaen...

Yeah... it's weird, I moved up to WIN 11, downloaded/installed the latest Odyssey upgrades and got a new computer over the holidays...and the way everything settled in with this issue is that it still doesn't "toggle" on (need to hold mouse #3-wheel button when aboard and on foot), but driving my scorpions the head look works like it used to "click on" to look around and "click off" the recenter the widget..

I've gotten used to it both ways:sneaky:
