Elite "Dangerous" .. hints in the title people

Nothing "Dangerous", satisfying or thrilling about a cargo run in Solo/Cotton Wool mode. ooh I made another 100k in one jump as I continue my grind .... yey

I'm a trader, not a PVP'er and I'm running around popular systems in the hope I get some heart racing action from human pirates while I run around in my type 6 loaded with silver and no shields.

Its even exciting when nothing happens, its keeps you on your toes and gets the adrenaline running when you jump and see a hollow square on the radar.

Its safe to come out people, I can assure you that the person interdicting you is not the school bully from your past coming back to get ya.

It's worth noting that the 'Dangerous' in the title refers to the ranking, not any quality of the game.

They could have called it Elite: Mostly Harmless ... but that wouldn't have had the same zing

I'm afraid games now are more about grinding as quickly and as easily as possible and its nolonger fun to have a challenge, Any sort of challenge is just an unnecessary tedious frustrating delay to grinding which developers have to remove so players dont get frustrated and give up.

You must suck if you need people that aren't into PVP to "come out and play". You must be getting owned by the real PVPers out there that don't sit and whine and moan and complain about stuff like this.

I'm sorry you're terrible at playing the game the way you "think" you should. Not my problem.

You find some thrill in the expectation that somebody messes up your trade runs? Good for you I guess. And I see no reason to interdict a player other than your have in your last sentence

So true. You have to be really stupid to have any issues with PvPers in the present game. It is PvPers who moan that we don't care to visit their ambushes.

Some of us don`t want to sit in the popular systems....whats the point..the future is out toward the core and the rim...you stay and play human pinata some of us want to see whats behind that next star..and really whats the point of doing that in open play...its not like you are going to encounter another human 1,400 LY from SOL unless they are REALLY lost.

Just don't wander off too far. Some people reported crashes and even save/load corruption after entering some of the systems close to the core.

Thanks for the heads up Icarus...but if it crashes it crashes...it would be nice to break the game due to being too far out.

People have choices and can play this game any way they want. Just because some find danger fun doesn't mean they do. And they probably don't feel they are there to provide entertainment for others at their own expense.

I'm currently heading way down below the galactic plane. The sky looks pretty fantastic now - all of the brown/gold stuff is above me, deep blue below, and the core is exposed and really, really bright.

That's great, sounds like you are playing the game as you like to. Please let others do the same and not worry about how they choose to play.
