Elite Dangerous Horizons space stations incorrect economy's

Been playing E.D.H a few years but had a break for a while. I have just gone to a space station that says economy Agriculture/High Tec and yet when i got there the station is Extraction?
There are no other stations or planets to land on so I don't quite get what is going on. Am I doing something obviously wrong but i just don't see it?

It maybe like 20 agriculture settlements in Ody.
Any way, in Ody this info is useless. You can trade completely for profit inside system without doing any jumps at all. Because systems are +/- complete production cycles. Also I think, stations act like hubs now, i.e. extraction station may have food on stock to sell if it has a lot of agri settlements around and owned by the same faction.

here on Inara, they have agricultural production, and some settlements maybe missing yet if no CMDRs docked it.

There are a ton missing - all Agri & Research. Never realised they could affect the system economy so much, I guess a single extraction outpost is overpowered by all the settlements - nice!

I can't see how what you, playing in Horizons, could do wrong to cause this discrepancy. I'm quite far away from the system so I don't think that I could get over there in a timely fashion to (probably) see the same thing happen. Inara does indeed show that it's High-tech & Agriculture and that i has been updated very recently.

I imagine that economy data is the same for a given system in Horizons and Odyssey. Seems to me that would be terrible to manage if they were not.

It's just the whole time I have played E.D.H, if a place said it was agriculture or industrial or high tec etc when I arrived at the place it would be exactly that.
Never had the economy change from what it said it would be. Say a high tec place would always buy grain at a good price it's no good buying grain flying there and now it's extraction and they don't give such a good price. Maybe I'm not playing the game the way I used too?

Systems have always changed when extra locations are added that change the mix, AFAIK. Only major releases like EDO (and presumably EDH) add enough stuff for it to be noticeable (and even then, most haven't noticed).

Evolving galaxy! Immersion! Giving the people what they want! :)

Current game is E.D.O. Map shows current state. In ED.O there are much more of stations and settlements. Economic is more real. Just think, why somebody would relay on food production from another star? So they have own agricultures now.
E.D.H. is just old now.

So how does trading work anymore if everyone has their own resources? Elite has always been about the trading in a big way since it was created. So, what is E.D.O like really? I've heard you have to be careful with comments on here but after the initial release there's been a lot of updates, is it worth buying yet?

All the same as it was. You just can't see additional settlements being in E.D.H.
Later it will be E.D.H. 4.0 and maybe (just maybe) you will be able to dock & trade to those new settlements too. But you will see it for sure.

I play Ody since day 1. It is OK for me, never run E.D.H. since then. Because Ody looks more scientific for me while E.D.H. was sort of cartoon on the ground.

There are a very large number of opinions varying widely in their assessments of Odyssey. There's a recent thread that serves as a decent example:
There are a fair number of somewhat OT posts but posts 16 thru 18 show some of the things folks feel about Odyssey itself (not playing it using GeForce, etc, etc.). That's why the link I provide starts there.
The reason I cited this thread is that it's a recent one, not because of its title or whether it's pro or con. There is no shortage of threads on these forums covering this topic. If you look thru some of them, you may get some help deciding whether it's your time to purchase EDO.
