Elite Dangerous HTC Vive and 1080 ti SLI?

I am about to dive back in to Elite Dangerous and recently got two 1080 tis in SLI. I have a i7 7700K and 16gb ram. I also have an HTC Vive.

Is my SLI setup going to be compatible with ED/Vive? How far can I push the settings? Are there any settings I need to tweak that I might not know about?

Thanks!

In a word.

No.

And they have no intention of implementing it.

So far there is basically only 4 or so titles that supports SLI for VR, but things are slowly moving around with the Unity engine and UE4 main branches.
So new games coming up will perhaps be able to use it.

But for current games that includes, ED and Project cars 1\2 etc etc so, no SLI is not supported and will not be supported.

Thanks! I'll disable SLI then. I appreciate it.

Think oculus and Nvidia has gotten to the stage where SLI will silently disengage when not being supported.
It should not at the least be like earlier where having SLI engaged would end in terrible VR performance.

I suppose you could setup the secondary card as a physx, but again that shouldn't really do anything for Elite since it will run physics on the CPU anyways.
