Elite Dangerous New Cmdr 'Guides'?

Star Citizen has a volunteer group of players who act as guides across the various roles you can play, does ED have a similar group at all? The suggestion came from a new player I was chatting with on Bluesky last night and I can't recall ever seeing something like this?

Would be great if it was a closed group that new players could enter and effectively have a dedicated Wingman to help them through the initial stages of a chosen profession.
