Elite Dangerous not working?

Hi everyone - it has been a while since I last booted the game up. Unfortunately now it seems to refuse to start. I get the initial logo screen which fades to black as normal with the glowing orange squares animation in the bottom left - and it just stays on that screen, with the squares glowing in sequence in an anti clockwise direction.....I even tried uninstalling the game and re-installing it....no luck. I waited over 10 minutes - no change.

I know I am in the wrong section - just curious if any of you guys had experienced this?

First time i hear this.

Some times i do have long loading screens. Never that long though.

You sure you have the latest update? And your internet connection is working on the XboxOne?

If so, you might want to make a ticket with the awesome CS team.

Thanks Dusty - Yep I have connection - other games with online features are wroking fine. And shouldn't I have the latest version after re-installing the game anyway?

Oh well - time for a support ticket I think.

It's okay guys....I think the OS system on my Xbox One got corrupted somehow. Some other games started to slow down and freeze...then dashboard kept freezing and the console was taking ages to boot up. Tried doing an offline update using PC and USB stick...kept sticking at 66% update. As a last resort before sending it off for repair I did a factory reset and that worked! Back up and running after the hassle of putting in my account info, payemnt methods etc......

I've had this happen to me recently. I just quit the game fully then re open. It's a problem to be fixed for sure.

Every modern console is now a PC in disguise. If it's gone wonky - first port of call is ALWAYS switch it off & on again, IT crowd style.

Seriously. 85% of IT problems are fixed by the guy googling it.
