I hope to see Frontier design Odyssey with parity in mind. It had always bothered me that, unlike NMS, Frontier release pay for DLC that fragments the community and Universe of Elite Dangerous. To have locked Engineers behind a pay wall with Horizons, leaving base players in the dust against enemies they could no longer properly contend with, was a blatant manipulation selling point.
Frontier also should never have incentivised purchase of Horizons with the Cobra Mk4. It leaves the Elite Universe with zero parity and it is equally insulting seeing it being flown by NPC's to rub in the noses of those who cannot access it.
It really ticked me off realising that although I own the Cobra MK4 on my Xbox edition of the game, that I would NEVER be able to access the ship on my now primary platform, the PS4. They teased it for long enough, expressing that the PS4 was not forgotten... Rubbish! Prove it!
I do hope to see Odyssey bring the community of Elite closer together as opposed to farther apart. Cross platform, at least between the consoles, would be a desired feature.
Anyways, let's see what happens, eh!
