Elite Dangerous Odyssey Fleet Carrier problem

Please change the FC standard docking message for FC owners docking at their Carrier. FC docking message for owners must be different from any other CMDR docking at the FC you can bet that every CMDR that own a FC feel the same! after spending 5.5B credits for the FC, and a minimum of 10M every week I should Not be told by NPC, Behave pilot , or Observe the rules pilot, or Observe standard protocol pilot, or Welcome to this carrier pilot, etc that is not appropriate, the message must reflect the fact that I am the FC owner, their boss, I pay their wages after all. game immersion is easily ruined by that message... FC owner is treated like a stranger, the docking message must change!
Is a change possible?

Yes, agreed. It slightly irks that i have to request docking permission, it should really be automatically assigned - i see why this doesnt happen, as we might not want to dock immediately for some reason - but at least the messages could be specific if you are the carrier owner.

Yep. I posted a YouTube video on my YouTube channel: Deimos, about the elite dangerous odyssey fleet carrier developers tour And watching it gave me that idea about personalised feet carrier messages.

Slight correction, minimum of 5M per week, not 10. 😛 But yeah, a unique welcome message for carrier owners would be nice.

I did notice that I’ve never gotten a loitering warning when I’m hovering over my own carrier’s pads, and I do get those on other carriers, so at least we have that.

Who knows, maybe when we get interiors, the NPCs on board will recognize and treat us differently. Our crew is supposed to be wandering the carrier concourse after all. Maybe they’ll salute us whenever we walk by or something.

Should the messages be changed?............would be nice!

Is it a problem?.......no, course it's not, that's ridiculous!

Must the messages for owners be different?.........depends on how easy it is for the Dev team to sort out, without breaking something!

Must the messages reflect that I'm the Carrier boss?......why?

Game immersion ruined by these messages?..........that again is ridiculous!

After spending 5.0B + services up to another Billion on my Carrier, do I feel like the OP?.......no I don't, there's other things in the game/not in the game that irritate me more than a few NPC messages!

Even I would place this issue on the next to last page of 'things to do' list, let alone the Dev team.

So you really think the owner of an airport, when flying in, takes priority over all other already scheduled aircraft, I don't think so, pilots regardless of who they are follow the same process to land, the same should apply to Fleet Carriers, until you are on the ground and in the hanger you are basically just another ship landing. Granted they could possibly greet you by name but that's about it.

You aren't in charge of traffic control, if a pilot is coming in with no canopy and needs urgent landing and you suddenly turn up do you really think you can just have them get back and wait while you land? No, traffic control is only in the hands of the traffic controller who's job it is to make sure everyone lands safely and ships take priority based on needs and not who the pilot is.

You pay their wages to make sure the FC is run safely, I don't know, VIP's, they just don't care about other people!

A couple of things spring to mind, which may or may not be true:

You are not a real carrier owner unless your own carrier shoots at and destroys your ship.
Your reputation precedes you.
You forgot the magic words to ATC - "Don't you know who I am?"
In a parallel universe, your name is Karen.

We only lease the thing, not own it.

If we owned it we should be able to sell it on the open market, as it would be our possession. Same with all of the ships & modules, leased, not owned, as they can only be sold back to the vendor, not sold on for profit (or otherwise).

Yeah, we pay for the staff, and for ongoing running costs, but that is all.

As for staff reacting to the owner when we get interiors for our FCs... The reaction from mine would likely be KOS, such is business... 🤷‍♂️

Could we choose the salute?
