Greetings Commanders.

In relation to this morning's minor update (recap details can be found here: forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/elite-dangerous-odyssey-minor-update-08-09-2022.607786/), I'm opening up this thread to keep an eye on proceedings/relay any timing changes and such regarding server downtime, to save the original (now 7 pages long) thread getting bloated.

By all means, continue to chat in there if you like - of course!

I'll keep this one locked for now and talk to myself in the comments until servers are back up, then you can come in o7

I mean they're not even offline yet, but you get what I mean.

Commanders, the servers are now offline.
I should add, this downtime is also inclusive of the standard, weekly maintenance downtime too - just elongated somewhat, with an added client side update bolted on to address the lens flare issue.

BY THE WAY, I just noticed that our in game broadcast message stated the usual "40 minute downtime" message. Really sorry about this, if it's caused any confusion. It is still 2 hours for today, as I say.

Given I was blasting through CZs on PS4/Horizons during the update, does look like Horizons was unaffected.
Unfair BGS advantage / don't-pay-to-win?

I'll always specify which servers are affected with any updates with using the title name but do poke me if any of that is unclear. Naturally things will change a little when we get to the '4.0' part but that's info I need to clarify in a separate thread if that's ok o7

So mine did this too. It can really depend on people's setups and connections which is a terrible answer but mine actually took about 40 mins total to complete (with about 5 being the preparing stage.
If you're still stuck in another 5 or so, let me know
