Question I have has anyone tried booting up Elite dangerous on a android tablet? I know a lot of you are going there no way to control it and such. I already have that covered.

Right now I have a NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet with Nvidea shield controller. 2.2ghz quad core with NVIDIA Tegra K1 192 core Kepler GPU.

It also runs off the Android OS.

Any ideas.

I not sure if it will work or not. But it give me something to do until my laptop monitor fix.

Its not compatible with Android or ARM. At best you could try a Windows(Not Windows RT) tablet since you need Windows and x86. But I doubt you could run it. And even if you could, then you couldnt control it.

Unless I'm missing something, I seriously doubt it. Android is basically Java, Elite is written in C# (?) so no it won't work...

I think you all missed the point: you can use the shield tablet to remotely stream games from a PC. He's asking because his laptop monitor is broken.

I've tried games using the in-home streaming that Steam offers from my desktop PC to my little Atom powered netbook and it works really well. It'll probably be fine, I play with an xbox controller and I don't need to touch the keyboard.

You could probably have it run as either a remote desktop session or using a screen transmit android app :D

But natively? Nope, sorry. Do you have (or could borrow) any other machines you could run it on? Hope you get your laptop back soon.

The idiots around here seem to buy cheap PC or are using outdated machines to run. I tried borrowing my brother fried computer because I think the only issue was the power supply burn out.

Sense I only use the Kindle it not working great because of a recharge issue. I got NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet at xmiss. I hope to be able to use a app to maybe run Elite Dangerous.

I should of order the dang part online and repaired my laptop my self

You can run Elite on the tablet. With Windows 8 installed.
