Elite Dangerous on Early Steam Machines with Windows 8.1 - Doable?

Hello Commanders. In the end of this Summer, I bought a 4K tv. The "YouTube" 4K videos are outstanding on it; the "Machu Picho" one, is superb!
It upscales my cable tv channels, DVDs and Blu-Rays. The image is not the greatest but, is very good; better then 1080p.
I'm also following this new, early release, steam machines. They not come with Steam OS but instead, with Windows 8.1 64bit.
The Asus Rog GR8 and the Alienware Alpha look promising. I was thinking on buying one, to connect to the television on the living room and play ED using the XBOX one, wireless controller. I know, they're not capable of true 4K resolution but, the tv would upscale 1080p to 4K and the image would be better.

My question is; *CPU - i7 2 cores (not real 4 cores) at 2 GHz *GPU - GTX 750M ti 2GB *1 TB hard drive - Windows 8.1 *8 GB - DDR 3 > Resolution 1080p upscaled to 4K... Can it handle Elite Dangerous on Max settings? Will it pauses / stutter, sometimes?

The current Beta, 3.05 I think, on a Mac Pro 6 cores + Radeon R9 280X 6 GB (Windows 8.1 x64 partition), pauses some seconds from time to time, specially on super cruise and when traveling, from system to system!

Is anyone using a similar setup (steam machine) right now; similar specs PC box connected to tv? Wath is you're feedback? Enjoyable or unplayable?

Regards to all.

Impossible to tell. I haven't yet seen a pattern in the hardware that experiences this stuff, and I have been quite active in all the threads about it. Either way it is being looked at and that hardware does look like it's within the range of requirements (although I'm not sure if it handle max settings).
