Hi Everyone.

Couple of quick questions.

1) Who do you like to watch stream Elite Dangerous?

We all know the big streamers but are there smaller streamers who you feel do a good job in promoting ED?

Feel free to list them below with what platform they stream on a link to their stream and what type of content they stream etc.

2) Other type of content creators.

Same as before platform, links & what they do.

Thanks you lot :)

Na, if I want to experience the game, I just play. Streamers don;t do anything for me.

Other creators are a mixed bag. Some offer real insight and valuable information, while others tend to ride the current zeitgeist for clicks. And, to make matters worse, often you can't even be sure which view they offer. A creator who with one video offers up something useful, will resort to ridiculousness in their next.

I just can't count on any outside source for reasonable and reliable info about E|D.

Who watches games like Elite Dangerous? And what point is there in streaming them?

I can have immense fun in the game, but I can still recognize that it would be incredibly boring to watch.

So I think the question should be: Do you know any streamers with good enough personality who can be entertaining no matter the game they play?
In which case yes, I do, otherwise no, Watching somebody who watches the paint dry is not my type of fun.

Absolutely no interest in streamers and alike. I find them irritating.

I do not care for streamers, I would rather watch devs as passionate as us about ED talking of what they are up to.

Never going to happen fdev hate engaging with the wider community and arent great at the game....

That said I think this thread is intended to help some smaller streamers get noticed not just hate on people for streaming.

I'll throw in father_bill I can't figure out how to get his twitch link on my phone.

He does a lot of mech warrior but has been played elite and watching an actual priest fly a spaceship is just awesome!

If T.j was an FD employee, I'd be most inclined to believe that they are thinking about using streamers as influencers.
As he is not, I guess it's just... a personal interest?

Nobody.

I'm a stubborn git and just experience things myself.

I haven't watched an ED stream for years.. Used to enjoy PvP and Piracy streamers the most and sad to say all of the streamers I would watch regularly have moved on..
However Twitch is a great platform for showcasing the game and is a brilliant resource of information for players..
I learned more about the game thru' watching others play than from anywhere else..

Don't know the creators name but 3 or 4 years ago back in the dark ages there was this guy that either did multiple voices or had a partner he worked with.

Kind of a Lewis and Martin team. Didn't stream but created some really, really funny stuff. I watched him/them for awhile. Lost track of him for awhile. Out of sight, out of mind as the saying goes and I haven't even thought of his stuff until now.

I never watch live streams but I do watch ED content creators on occasion, Yamiks is about the only one I watch regularly because the guy is funny and entertaining as well as informative and that means once or twice in 3 to 4 weeks. Every now and then Chaos Wulf has something of interest.

Some of the ED stars like Obsidian Ant and Down to Earth Astronomy just annoy the heck out of me for some reason - especially Obsidian Ant. Can't articulate any concrete reason; just can't stand 'em but when you do a You Tube search both of 'em are ubiquitous.

Yes, that's about it. Paid promotion hidden behind... well, nowadays they have to announce it, so technically they're not hiding it.
A streamer/youtuber who is paid and/or enjoys benefits from a company whose games they are playing.

Most companies do it. I wouldn't be surprised if Frontier were looking into this as a way to further their reach.
