Elite : Dangerous Piloting - My stories of epic failure

This week has been a bad one for my balance sheet, my money has been sort of floating around the same level due to some terribly stupid piloting on my behalf and some rather funny bad luck. Thought id share them with you all for a laugh.

1) Flying my Imperial Clipper loaded to be brim with Palladium into a Coriolis

This was caused by me looking away to help my wife out with a quest on Skyrim, Rather than throttling back I had some good forward motion and cruised directly into the thing... DANG IT!

2) Getting my Imperial Clipper (replacement of the above) shot up for a trespass violation

I was fairly tired doing a few trading runs while a little bit...ok a lot drunk (don't drink and drive/fly kids! Damn Port you tasty drink you!) anyway I forgot to ask for landing clearance and cruised on into the station, only realizing when I had gotten a good way in, and couldn't trust me bing lined up still to do a full reverse, so I got the throttle into the middle, gear up, and in my panic and fumbling hit the boost. I sort of did a belly flopping into the spike at the end, of the station... would have looked amazing for the onlookers... absolute and total failure as a pilot.

3) Getting winged and exploding in my Asp

Down grading from the Imperial clipper, I purchased and fully kitted out an Asp, came in at about 30 million. With about 2x the insurance value in the bank Iv been having a laugh tootling about USS's and blowing stuff up. Well my last failure came about 2 hours ago while fighting an Anaconda. I was backed up by a police Anaconda and a Viper, we are all having fun, pew pewing. I did a rather dumb loop, not really noticing that the police Anaconda was fairly close, I performed a boosted turn, similar to number 2) and found myself pulling back on my stick saying "No, no, no, no, no" as the Anaconda got bigger and bigger. As I bounced off, no shields, about 10 % hull, I say "YES!" and turn myself away to try and limp away from that battle, just as I do so, the viper slams right into me almost head on. "NO!" *slumps head*

Now the common thing in all of these are examples of bad piloting! haha I think I shall lick my wounds a bit and then do something a bit more sensible, like exploring... cant smack into too many things out int he sticks now can I!

Blimey. That's a lot of money you've managed to chew up. I tend to find that when i'm about to collide with simething big, I lift myself out of my seat, hoping it will help!

Regarding experience number 1. I tend to get this. My wife calls me as if something drastic has just happened so I drop everything only to find she wants me to look at a picture of a kitten etc etc. Meanwhile, I've drifted in to an Asteroid.
