As a novel, I loved it.
As a piece of interactive, inclusive art you have to see it along with the forum, the game and a whole bunch of independent youtubes.
It's difficult to think of anything else that shook up an entire community and made them rage so. That everyone who wanted to, could have some small part in realising.
The closest I can remember would be that Masquerade book by Kit Williams that had a whole load of people trying to solve puzzles and find the golden hare.
That lacked a forum like this though, and a game...Premonition was way bigger and way more enthralling, hell, even when I wasn't playing the game I was thinking about clues and things, checking Galnet on my phone and reading the latest bit of tinfoil and, when the event was over...It was a crushing emotional time, way more intense than any other game has brought ...The book offered closure and expansion to all the little bits we all followed.
As a piece of art, it may just be unique.
