Greetings Commanders!

Following your reports of a little turbulence in regards to sale prices adjusting unexpectedly, during the recent Elite Dangerous Spring Livery Sale, we have made the decision to extend the length of the sale as gesture of appreciation for your patience, whilst the store team tackled the issues.

The Spring Livery Sale will now extend until Sunday 26 March, closing at 23:59 UTC.

Have an enjoyable Friday and weekend ahead, Commanders o7

Hmm, yea. The extension allowed me to get the remaining few ARX to buy another item.

I mean, in old times I would simply have bought the things, but as the clear "item X costs ..." was replaced by the ARX thingie, i guess that's how it will stay for me: not spending any cash.

Same for me I'm afraid. When you could use cash to buy cosmetics, I'm slightly disturbed by how much I spent. Frontier solved that problem by trying to make me buy a phoney currency.

I have never and will never buy ARX.

I have bought a number of painjob and ship kits, when the store openly showed clear prices. I do enjoy them, the price seemed fair enough, i went for it.

But if somebody needs to obfuscate their prices behind some other in-between currency, the message is clear: they themselves think that what they offer is not worth the money the ask for it. So no money given, it is.

The thing about the arxes method that really REALLY annoys me is the fact that you get no proof of purchase, no receipt, nothing. There is a transaction ref number in your user portal but 1) you can't link to the purchase from it and 2) it just shows the date and number or arxes, not what the purchase was for. In truth, I don't see how the system is actually legal but I have done no commercial law since my MBA in the 80's.
