Elite Dangerous SRV Land Vehicle Buggy Boarding your ship..


first of all as soon as you are a good distance from town you can recall your ship ..
even if it was docked, so don't suicide !


when your ship lands there is some chance of it being parked with it's body partially buried in the ground !


well how do i fix thin .. must destroy self ? NO


you need to press the 3 button again and dismiss the ship,
recall it after and the ship will land in a different location...
hopefully better suited to boarding !


ok so you found your ship and selected it .. so how to board ?


drive slowly towards the ship (when you are close),
find the side with the least obstruction .. one side may have more space under it..


you can drive backwards as well as forward and you can associate a button with full stop (you have to keep this button pressed but can change speed while it is - so as to slow down or speed up)


get under the yellow docking square..


you may now board ! keep that break key handy and pressed...


but i can't dock with my ship game over ! lol no


slowly drive forward closer to the edge of the SRV boarding hole ..
stop and check the 3 (look down) panel and check if you can board..


the menu works like the ship menu so select the now non red board option.. and or the transfer cargo option.

If you position your SRV correctly, you can have the ship land directly on top of you as well. THAT is true valet service. :D

Elite Dangerous SRV Land Vehicle buggy moving around a space port


one thing is for sure jetting around a space port in a buggy SRV is fun..


but it is also capable of bringing you challenges & dangers..


first of all your vehicle may overturn .. however there is a solution !


use the jet button - the power to this doesn't last long .. however (the space bar by default)


you can use the jet to lift you over obstacles in your path if they are not huge...


and in this video we can see all of that while drag racing..
