Greetings Commanders,

This is my first post in this forum. I have been working on a little project over the last couple of weeks. The original idea was to help raise awareness of the kickstarter, because like everyone else here, I wanted to see and play a new Elite game.

However, these things always take a little longer than hoped, so it has become a video celebrating the return of Elite, rather than a video hoping for it.

I sincerely hope you all enjoy it. If the response is good, and if David Braben gives his blessing (through letting me know or through not saying anything at all!) then I'd like to make a few more of them over the coming year. Maybe a few short stories set in the Elite Universe. This has been a real pleasure to make, and I'd love to do more (all as a fan project, all rights obviously remain with David and Frontier).

Man, this video is incredible. I have a feeling that the ship is very massive (maybe for the first time in such type of videos).

Thanks for all the lovely feedback! It is wonderful to hear, as with any creative endevour there is always the worry that it might in fact be total rubbish and everyone will hate it!

So a big relief, many thanks and I am really glad it has been enjoyed. I think I just wanted to capture the magic that happened in my mind when I used to play the original Elite. It might have been points and lines on the screen, but to this 8-9 year old... it was real. I was a commander, and the Cobra was my ship, my bedroom my cockpit, and I lived like Han Solo with a blaster by my side lol.

Great memories. I hope the new Elite inspires some fresh young minds too.

Anyway, thankyou all again for your kind words, it makes it all feel very worth while!
