Elite Dangerous U.S. Events??

Austin would be nice

I live in Austin, TX.

Anything ED here would be great, though it is in the back yard of our Star Citizen brethren.

I guess the USA makes up less than 10% of players at the moment. So, by the time the whole galaxy is open, I truly won't see anyone online, unless it is Europeans pulling an all-nighter. :D

Nono, if anything happens in the US, then it must be in Ohio, the birthplace of Aviation, the birthplace of the first American in orbit and the birthplace of the first man on the moon!

Weird topic. Whit all respect for people and their country, no matter where they come from, but why a request for a specific event for an country?

Because us 'Mericans want some Elite love too. Would love to go to a meetup or something for this game.

I asked a while back about US events, I'm sure I wasn't the first.

Looks like we'll need to do it ourselves. Anyone in to help set it up and all that?

I'm starting a web site (waiting on response from Frontier) for those of us outside Europe.

Will Elite support LAN? That would be a hoot. :D

I wish you well however I can answer the LAN question now. I was at LaveCon today and all PC's were connected to the master servers at the event ( via fast internet connection ) and I seem to recall that the devs confirmed that they wont be releasing a LAN version.

Any back on topic and good luck with your idea.

aha. I thought the topic was about ingame event and that's why I was confused :) As I never heard of any events like that so far :D

Although presumably it'd be compatible with offline singleplayer? Not that means they'll do it mind.

I'm up for it, we'll need a fast internet connection, hmm.

Does anyone know if Frontier will have any Elite: Dangerous presence at PAX Prime (August 29 - Sept 1, in Seattle) this year? If so, maybe something could be organized around that. The timing is a little tight, but since I'm local, I'd be happy to do some of the legwork.

You do know all this is fan organised? And FantastiCon is publisher organised. Frontier Developments are being kind in going to and supporting the events, but at the end of the day, it's down to fans. Fans who organised Lave Radio, fans who decided to get together based around that.

Quit complaining, want something, organise it ;)

No idea. I couldn't make it to Seattle, too far for me but, I'd love to see something in North America organized.

Are there any US events planned for ED we love ED too!

Gawd, you guys just had Frontier at E3, what more do youse want? ;)

Just kidding ya - would love to see an Aussie event myself so I hear what you're saying. Who knows what the future holds hey?

Fellow US player here, you won't be alone! Will be interesting to see what the US player base is like though.
