Buy a Fleet Carrier, and jump with it.Frontier should never have rendered guardian tech useless. People lost interest in the game after all that hard work to get guardian weapons was dumped into the bin. Personally I think the FSD booster was a bad change. They should have just given the SCO drive a larger range. Taking an extra slot in a combat ship that has very few spare slots means I don't bother with FDS boosters. I simply deliver my combat ship to the combat zone or a system close to it. It is totally useless for combat ships. I log in, deliver my ship, then log out and go play another game while the ship gets delivered. And that means I sometimes don't return to ED for days. I'm in maintenance mode while I wait for frontier to sort their mess out.
Or don't fly pure combat ship with terrible jumprange and limited optional slots.
You want your favorite ship and activity without any downsides, and this isnt balance. The only ship that need a fix in jumprange is the Anaconda, that have ultralight hull to move the biggest modules in game release, and become overpowered as top explorer with the Engineering patch, when you could apply lightweight in the heavy sensors and life support. (Also Hauler need a fix, to be enabled to move his own cargo, but its adding more hull mass and a Size 3 FSD).
Vanilla Gauss and in some zones, Large Shards, are valid weapons, once applied the AGF engineering. The problem is that Azimuth version is already preengineered and don't accept it, and from Lore, Ram Tah (Aegis supporter) don't want to help Azimuth to apply this upgrade to his own weapons... maybe in the final titan, some espionage make this possible, near the end of the thargoid war storyline.
