Elite Dangerous VR graphic edge blur

Hi folks, just wondering if other ED VR folks are getting this;

Some items in Elite Dangerous when playing in VR have this horrendous edge blur to them.
I can get this to happen in asteroid fields or near them when entering Thargoid attacked space stations against the red back ground for rescue missions.
So I wonder if its happening due to the background the image is over.

I have spent hours on the graphic settings nothing appears to help. I have only noticed this post April 2019 update, and its still happening with the recent patch 1 to the original update.

Sadly it almost renders playing in VR unplayable, any suggestions.

Its like looking through a misted up cockpit!! I wouldn't mind if I picked up some hooker from Lave.

Have you tried playing ED without VR (unplug headsets), does the flat version look different then?

I've had that too. I'm not sure what happened to cause or fix the problem. I've been monkeying with a lot of graphic settings since the last update.

Yes, add to the report here in my post ...

Flimley

Yep, I am having the same issues in the asteroid belts, before the update in WMR VR I had the 'Volumetric Effects Quality' in Elite Dangerous set to High and everything was OK, however, since the latest April update 3.3 and the latest patch 1, I have to set 'Volumetrics Effects Quality' to Ultra for the pixelation to not be so obvious and more acceptable althogh still visible, I am using 1080Ti GPU. One Image 'Volumetrics Effects Quality' settings at 'High' bad edges around ship & asteroids, 2nd Image settings at 'Ultra', a bit cleaner.

In SteamVR using WMR VR:-
Something that I have also noticed in SteamVR 'Settings' under the 'Video' tab is to ensure that you DO NOT have the 'Custom Resolution' setting Enabled, as even if this is set to 100%, steam VR still appears to attempt to override the HMD resolution settings. This clears the horendous edge blur and pixelation, as shown in my pictures, in the asteroid rings.

This does not appear to help regarding the frame rate drop that a lot of VR commanders are experiencing since the latest Update and Patch 1, particularly in the stations and res/asteroids sites.

I play in VR and use a PSVR headset and run TrinusPSVR software to make it work on my pc. Up until a few updates back when night vision was added I had no issues. Now i get what I call oil spots in space. Some areas of black are rendered at really low rez. You can only see it in VR and only on Elite. I have updated and tested. Tried on other machines and its still there. Learned to live with it as it is only in some spots in space. Or all over the cockpit in if you are in a viper. Kinda funny looks like it sprung an oil leak inside the cockpit.

I am having the same issue. Except I don't own VR. Anything below ultra causes the issue, but ultra gives me poor performance, lower than I'd like.
