I made a few comparisons of stuff visible in space a while ago, thought I'd post them for peoples, erm, mild interest.
Will do more if it's hugely popular, or may just spend more time playing Elite.

i must have seen Andromeda in-game myself many times but i didn't twig to it; the ED version looks a little chunkier than the RL version

It's the only one of our neighbouring galaxies that seems friendly enough to come over and say hi. The others all seem a bit snobby tbh

I gotta admit, lovely shots, but I think Space Engine actually nudges out ED for detail and beauty for me.

I know they're the result of long exposure etc, but I wish Elite could reproduce this density of stars! Your comparisons highlight the relative sparseness.
