Since Elite Dangerous beta to the present day, it was the most frustrating gaming experience I ever had with any game, and I played and followed a lot of games.
Update after update design that didn't make sense, features that weren't what customers wanted, built with the most lazy development and minimal resources possible. I've never seen devs so out of touch with gamers, the gaming industry and modern times, Frontier Developments is, in my opinion, one of the worse gaming companies currently.
Star Citizen is shaping up to be a great game, the current build with flight model changes already provides much more fun than anything in ED. You can feel intelligent design decisions being made all the time, going against that conservative part of the community that rejects any change to what they are used to.
I see no reason to keep following Elite Dangerous, hoping for that update that will change everything, lol. They showed time after time they lack the competence to achieve that.
I will never buy another game from Frontier Development, I had the chance to buy Jurassic World for 3 euros or less in a humblebundle, and I didn't, not because I wouldn't like the game, but because it is from Frontier Developments.
