Elite: Dangerous Website Updated

An new Elite: Dangerous website has now gone live, providing a much needed update from the page created for the Kickstarter campaign! Check it out now at https://elite.frontier.co.uk

This new site contains a range of improvements over the previous page, including a much improved layout, mobile support, and an up to date news feed of the most recent Elite: Dangerous updates to come out of Frontier Developments.

Hopefully you enjoy the new-look website and we look forward to expanding on our online presence for Elite: Dangerous even further as we get closer to launch. ;)

Lovely new site :)

tiny, tiny request! Can the original E D website picture of the classic Elite space station rising over it's planet be made into a wallpaper? This is such an atmospheric picture and would be a shame to lose it! Love and hugs to all :D

That would probably require one of the artists digging out the original and painting it into an appropriate setting to make it effective as a wallpaper. Unfortunately this might take too much of their time away from designing other aspects of the game. It may be that you won't have to wait too long for another station pic though. ;)

Could we get a station put into a wild west situation, being drawn along by horses and have those big wheels on it..

Maybe some Native Americans shooting arrows at it while a cowboy style character shoots back...

That would be great... IF they're taking requests..

Then i will have my station wagon!


I know it was a predictable punch line.. but hey...

At long last! I had been keeping an eye on the site, wondering if it would be used for something... useful and now it is! :)

It's OK. We'll get Mobius to do it instead. ;)

It's looking nice. Loads of much needed features. If I was going to make any sort of comment or request it would be to make something more of the sheer amount of fan sites out there. Maybe start with the writers and contributors and maybe then an acknowledgement of the long-standing fan sites that have helped keep interest in Elite alive for two decades? :)

Dose this mean the Tmblr thing will be shut down? Does it serve a seperate purpose ?

Very nice overall. I really like that the 'Forum' link takes you right to the Elite: Dangerous section, and not the top level of Frontiers forum. That makes a lot of sense for any new arrivals.

I also like having the newsletters in an easy to find link, as sometimes i don't get to read them all in my emails.

Great job and thanks to whomever did the redesign :)

If it's Frontier's intention to keep the new front page looking clean and sparse, I would suggest having one other link on the homepage to the history of updates at the Tumblr site too.

Get up there you great metal bird!

If you want to sell 1.5 M copies, you need to get the word out. Every little bit helps and this can only push in the right direction.
