"Elite Dangerous64.exe has encountered a problem that it cannot continue from"

I'm having a very vague crash that leaves no description. It's also fairly clean as the program quickly closes and then the error message pops up after. The game was running fine for a few hours, and then after about 10 minutes on foot it did this. I'm on a new PC without any OC programs running. All drivers are up to date. i7 and 3080ti on Windows 11 and I have opentrack in the background for headtracking along with HOTAS.

Currently not having any other problems with other games. I previously ran a RAM test for other reasons and it came back clean, along with multiple runs of 3dmark and Furmark with 0 issues. I also verified files since it's on steam. Considering there's no description to the error message I'm not too sure what's causing it. I've seen a few people with similar errors on google but no solutions. Any ideas of what might be causing it?

Edit: It may be that alt tabbing is causing the crash? It crashed immediately after I alt tabbed out then back in, but it's on borderless so I'm not sure why it would be. It also crashed after alt tabbing out and in on fullscreen

Edit 2: It crashed again on foot after about 20 minutes with no alt tabbing, so that's not it.

I suggest trying an older driver utilizing its clean install function to see if it exibits the same symptom
and to rule that out
I assume you have logged temps whilst game running and all are within recommended tolerances of hardware thermally...……………………………..
but the game is not bug free and if you are playing for a few hours before being interrupted by it that's hardly severe
the proper place to report it is here https://issues.frontierstore.net/
and if it gets enough votes it may be fixed pretty soon or even without any in the next patch or one after ect
I always stay at least two driver versions old unless a game says it wont work without the very latest driver

Yeah, all the temperatures are fine when ED is running. It seems to be specifically on foot that crashes it, as it can run in space for a long time and no crashes there. I'll see if any previous drivers help later.
