Watching The Expanse at the moment on Netflix, what an amassing resemblance between this show and Elite Dangerous, esp Eros and a base station inside a asteroid. And some of the ships look like the Corvette. Think if you like Elite Dangerous, you will get on with the Expanse. Nice touch on the Alien thing as well. Any way thought i would share, both at the moment are my down time.

Man, that is a show I cannot stand or recommend. I love the Expanse books, hand down, some of my favourite sci-fi novels ever, and I cannot wait for the new one to be published next month, but I absolutely despise the show. I hate the way they keep mutilating the plot of the books to churn out a bland, barely related to the source material series. Which is a damn pity, because I have to admit that the set design of the show, all the ships and the settings, props, etc, are all amazing, and I am curious as to how they'll do the alien worlds that come in later books. It's just everything else about it that sucks so hard.

I have read the books as well (i am at book 4 at the moment) and so far, the show has been an absolute blast. It does something different than the books, but definitely one of the best sci fi shows ever - and i have seen a lot in the last 47 years...

If you have a cable provider you can just log into Sy-Fy and watch all the current seasons there. Amazon Prime has Season 1 for free with Prime but the rest you have to purchase. The new season is slated for sometime in 2018. Great show and yes it's VERY much like Elite: Dangerous.

The novel series is amazing. I have been reading that since the first book was released. They made some changes when they did the show, at first I was upset but the changes help out with the show and even add some extra backstory for the characters. I love Chrisjen Avasarala and the actrees they chose for her. Excellent match up in my opinion. Can't wait for the next season.
