I'm going to be very shallow here but the Rangers of Florin have my vote purely for the hot female pilot ;). Seriously though it was fun and made me laugh at the end.

Was some strange movies made though that really didn't appeal to me and don't think they will make a good promo

Anybody else watched the shortlist?

Brilliant, so now that several commanders have decided they're already going to pledge to Arissa or Kahina without seeing their manifestos, "as long as their portraits are hot", commanders are going to vote for whichever film has a "hot" female in it. Thanks a bunch on behalf of those of us who actually want to judge things on merit.

Couldn't decide between "Impressions" (with the cool DOF effect) and "ALT-F10" (with the cool timelapse). Chose the latter in the end.

The short list films were all great. But our primal instincts always override an . Intelligent response. Rangers of florin had humans to (briefly) warm to and like or dislike. And yes one of the humans was a very attractive young female. Florins cam footage was no better or worse than the others. It's a great short film. The others were great short video game footage.

Rangers of Florin was a great film, the idea that it is lonely in space and can be dangerous with being attacked but other people can come to your aid was great and having live people taking on the rolls was a clincher, for me anyway. Going to the moon was just inspired though and loved the voice over from original NASA recordings.

My selection is based on merit and I think some people should get off their pedestals as my original comment was meant in fun which is why emoticon was used.
