Hi people this is a site i want to put up live..I put a demo of 2 pages up the other day but this is just about complete for the moment.. I would appreciate anyone checking it out..Maybe trying the emulator stuff if you want to quickly play the original game..or just throwing ideas..

Added wallpapers and modded a few myself ( tried anyway ) but i would rather put some of your stuff up if theres any artists out there....Im all ears for ideas...Added a couple of vids im sure lots of us have seen but you never know...Added the legal stuff that was mentioned the other day at the bottom of the screen i assume that will suit requirements ?...They cant sue me anyway i pledged all my money :D Just showing some enthusiasm

Its nothing to special but any Elite Dangerous advertising has to be a good thing...Fan based or otherwise :smilie:

Regarding the legal stuff, it wouldn't hurt you to PM someone at Frontier, say, Ashley, asking if it's ok to use images etc and to let you know if there are any problems.

I didn't find any problems with the site.
The C64 emu is still on the title screen though, should I go and put the kettle on? :rolleyes:

Whoops...its instant loading from cart...you have to press the right CTRL key on the splashscreen
= Fire..Sorry gonna have to mention that somewhere...loading time usually only about seconds

The demo i first posted was in a post i asked about fan based stuff and permissions but no mods answered....I wouldnt go live without full permission anyway but im not sure how to contact anyone...Any ideas

I was kind of hoping one may check out the thread and let me know

No probs, that's done it. Left it on warp mode & still nothing, forgot those C64's could use carts, it's been about 20 years since I last use one.

No problem ... it may not be Ashley that deals with legal matters, so he may redirect your enquiry to someone else.
The main thing is, you asked them.

You already know about the potential legality of hosting copyright material there so will leave that up to you to sort out. (Implying the emulators which should be OK but the image of Elite may not)

It's a very nice site though - FD should take note ;)

Brilliant site synchromesh, really helps get the message out there. Very professional-looking! Can we link to and from other sites (this forum, kickstarter, Steve's Elite site etc). :D

nice site, looks cool and easy to use :)

I would always advise fansites to try to cram as much download content as possible if u want a successful site. I say this because from my experience fansites are usually first chanced upon when someone is looking for downloads for the game.

Oh WOW Thank you so much Ashley....
Building a fansite is one thing...But having actual permission to do so... Not as many fan sites as you may think get that privilage so this is Huge for me.. Please thank everyone..

I will now make the required alterations, attributes required etc and get it up and running live asap...Once done i will let you guys know and Ashley of course.

Anyone making wallpapers etc and want them hosted in the future then no probs or any ideas always welcome.

@Liqua...Thanks for keeping me on my toes with the legalities...I know i kind of jumped in the deep end using the concept art etc but i figured if i did it right with the best of intention it may all work out nicely...Thankfully it did :)

Excellent site Synchromesh:cool:

Three things I would point out is.
1 I can't see all the text in the box in the download section, although it probably my screen settings.
2 You should mention Archimedes Elite as it is regarded as one of best version of the game.
3 You should give FFED3D a link as you using there intro vid.

As you say synchromesh having a fan site is one thing but actually having the ok from the actual makers of the product is another. Well done. You're the first !
