I was wondering if the vitriol in here as opposed to what is in the themepark forums is because this place is dedicated to elite which is an MMO and thus has a different player group?

Only issue there is that by putting DD on ignore that means its sub-fora are also gone - So Newcomers, Groups etc all are hidden too. Maybe Brett could consider restructuring (again) to leave the cesspit as an isolated singular carbuncle and move the beauty-spots elsewhere?

TBH the only thing I'm sort of missing are the focussed feedback parts, but for those to not be completely toxic the forum would need write-only threads where people cannot even see any replies but their own (and no open discussion underneath). Apart from that I'm mostly frequenting the support and bug reports where people seem to have a modicum of sanity. "Suggestions" maybe, but that's been the same few things over and over for a long time now.

Not looked at the themepark forums much, but as an observation, forums for multiplayer games in general tend to attract more vitriol. Reasons must be fairly obvious.
