Elite / Frontier Elite/Frontier/ED 3D Models?

Hi all

I am on the hunt for some Elite-based 3D models for use making signatures and such other personal images. Has anyone ever seen any?

I use Cinema 4D, and had a go at making some myself but am hoping there are some models out there somewhere!

Please help

As stated in this thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=230171 i'm designing my own fairly basic version of the FE2/FFE ships, in relation to a novel i'm writing and also for my amusement. Some amount of reimagination, but I try to stay closer to the originals than the ED ships. Some examples of my works in the link above. My avatar is also a ship of mine (a reimagined Courier).

Another example: this is a Viper.

Hi Guys!

Have you taken a look at FFED3D at all? There are lots of fan-remade models for it already - but you can also dump the meshes for the original FFE models from it too. (.x format, XNA/DirectX9)

It was abandoned by the original Russian authors for a while but I've been continuing it since 2013, fixing up the outstanding issues and adding a few more features to try and finish it off. The model in the picture is an example of a fan-made model, I reintroduced the engine flares that Frontier had but weren't in FFE.
