Yeah, I'm not rich, or well off either. 8000 series hardware is dirt cheap now if you look on ebay, and know how to build your own PC's. Self upgrade is the best away to get performance per pound.

To be honest, this project isn't really generating the interest my previous fan projects have. Given that the engine technology is going to be too advanced for you guys as well. I don't think there's a lot of point to this.

Never mind, Lave Station Down, is ended. I think the engines best deployed elsewhere.

Thanks for your interest and encouragement.

ok, i should less follow my nicknames sense, i know. ;)
other projects? show off please. i'm a lazy bump you must know and i didn't know you to well.
to the point of my nifty hardware, if i didn't had inherited, i would still use my old 1.7 ghz amd with a 9xxx ati, fortunately i've uprgradet now somewhat, 2ghz dualcore and a (low)7600 g-force pcie and 2gb ram aside.
but in the end, don't ask me, if i had the money i would rather upgrade my old a4000 to state of art (it's possible), then buy a new pc. i would run three diff. windows emulated at the same time and fixing a broken hd in between, without getting my poor cpu to a deadly temperature.

did you know our "machine" was designed in 1946 and hasn't been changed since then alot (thats why only 2cyph for years counter i.e.)?
purpose of the first x86 gen was to control waving machines, they was papertape programmed, that's why i call my pc papertapefeedwavingmachinecontroller when i'm angry (lochkartenprogrammiertewebmaschinensteuerung, for germans).
three autark systems in eagle failed at the same time, so armstrong had to take his abakus and land manual.
intel had the nerve to advertise in the 90's for their crap with aliens, stating "intel inside".
sorry if we would use them in a real spaceship i.e. to calculate next jump.... we would end up in the center of a sun, probably.

intel outside

ok windows is somekind of a wonderthing fixing all the weaknesses of x86 based machines so they get useful, at least.
but there might be better ways to get the goal...........

since there was Galvin Manufacturing Company's motorola68000 you never found a x86 in a coin op again (anyway, before they used anything else then).

why Galvin Manufacturing Company? intentionally motorola was only the name for their first (useful in serial production) car radio, the brand was later taken over as company's name, because of it's fame (motor = motor, ola = wave).

and how you have to feed that old baby! only predigested (really had to google for it) food, portion by portion one for mama, one for daddy, one for omi... oh no, don't chew and breath at the same time... there we have the mess.
i stop rapping now i think, before i made enemies here:rolleyes:

You should work as a motivation coach.

Yes I agree, it is a shame, I hope you will reconsider your decision. Generating interest in anything takes time. Hop over the the SSC forum http://www.spacesimcentral.com/portal.php and mention your project there or the Oolite and Russian boards. You said helping out with the game would be too advanced for us. That would certainly be true in my case, but there are a lot of very talented people out there who could help you. The trick is you have to get out there and find them.
