Ok, this is not a full game, but only a CG intro of our old Frontier.

I hope this will make you wonder about Elite 4 experience with today graphics as I did..

It certainly does make you wonder about just how spectacular the graphics in Elite IV might be...

I liked the music, and the animation was quite good.
Although the polycount would be ambitious for current generation graphics.
Personally I would've grabbed some current aircraft (and shuttle) reference pictures and redesigned the frontier ships using them as a frame of reference, put in more detail about what they'd most likely look like based on that. The Eagle in particular reminds me of modern fighter designs and could be adapted quite well to that.

As far as the music goes, I think the parts that were more true to the original spoilt the end result of it. The variations you put in worked extremely well, and wish you had carried that on throughout. Perhaps rather than remaining faithful to it, use the original as a template then score something that feels more modern. Like the Halo theme is.
Just out of interest what did you use to compose?
