I started reading Elite:Legacy by Michael Brookes a few days ago and am absolutely hooked.

There've literally been moments I've held back tears with sadness and others where I've felt joy at the prospect of revenge.

I don't know if it's because I've been playing since Beta, and can vividly imagine its setting, or because it's full of intrigue and mystery. Probably a bit of both but either way I highly recommend it.

Well done Michael Brookes !

Currently, Lave Revolution is on order and Reclamation and Premonition are on my Christmas list.

Dark wheel came with 1st game. Not sure you ca. Buy it but there are free PDFs floating a out. It's only a very short read . Perfect for making you want to play the game but really leaves you wanting more

He is involved in other games ATM, but occasionally I see him listed as browsing the forum, last time in the Star Citizen of all threads. :)

I quit playing Elite in February after the infamous 'news'.
The day it would be announced he is back to work on Elite, I'd probably start playing again.

Seconded - The sun dragon is great.

OP - as mentioned by slowfddler, give the oolite saga a go from Drew. Unlike ED you can also play along to a certain extent via oxp's.

It's good read, but the world depicted isn't exactly the same as in Elite Dangerous.
It's more like Star Trek version. It has multiple alien races living among humans and hints about fantasy stuff like Raxxla. It's not considered canon anymore.

Yeah ....... This may be true :(. Not sure how much of Elite is canon and which isn't.
