Sorry if this has been widely circulated already, I couldn't see mention of it, and I didn't want anybody interested to miss it.
There's a cool and very positive feature on Elite Dangerous on the Click TV show (part of BBC News, Freeview 130 round here). The guy was obviously a massive fan of both the original and the new game - and why not!
My question, and guys, I come in peace, the interviewer kind of ambushed David with some questions about the offline issue, David said the Combat tutorial wll work offline.
So presumably if I download the the Single Player Combat archive, I can use that offline, without needing to log in or anything?
Will it install happily with my actual game installation without any probs?
If that's the case, I'm a happy bunny - I would have loved to have been able to demonstrate the Galactic map to my grandchildren offline, but this is good news, and a whole lot better than nothing.
