Elite / Frontier Elite on TV!

For the internationals who can't see it,the prog was just about the making of Elite no mention about the sequels or anything about Elite 4.did'nt say anything new about the game that you couldent read on the net or in the R.G article a few months ago ( although I was interested to hear about the panic caused by the release of 3D monster maze on the zx81 ) and some dramatic reconstruction from the life of bell braben .My only criticism of the show would be That programme also seems to suggest that the entire UK games industry own its existence to Elite, which I think is a bit unlikely.
otherwise an entertaining half hour on channel 5.

The program does suggest that!!

I think the UK games industry would have happly strolled along without Elite, however i do think that many people under-estimate how much of a leap Elite was at the time. 3-D, style, length of game play, massive enviroment, and the new radar.

well it was just general stuff like barben opening his chrismas present,meeting at college, going to Thorn EMI overlayed with a narration by peter snow hopefully someone who recorded it can upload of some clips to youtube.
