Newcomer / Intro Elite PC Help

Hi all,

I recently joined Elite on a PC. I use to play on the Xbox. Is there a way to use my Xbox controller in conjunction with my new Hotas set? I found the Hotas set is a little difficult to use when using the FSS. Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.

ED will happily work with any number of controllers simultaneously. Just plug it in and start binding (FSS) stuff to it.

A lot of people use an additional xbox controller for their SRV, or the free camera.

Yep, I use the X Box controller for FSS and DSS, Cougar HOTAS for SRV and flight. Track IR too and it all plays perfectly together.

Just make sure that the controller is switched on when you launch the client, or your binds file will not load. This will save you a lot of hassle.

I use the xbox controller for the SRV as my x52 is quite fiddly on the surface, I shall now use it for the scanner whatnot too! Just spent half an hour trying to work outr why my xbox controller didnt work....it had gone flattery battery...DOH!
