Elite / Frontier Elite Phone App?

Hi All, can I raise the possibility of the creation of a linked game for android and i pad etc that links in to the Elite Universe? I was wondering if they would consider making an app based game that could allow you to trade your stocks, send ambassadors to other sectors or sell/purchase items that you could then use in the actual game.

As a keen player of the Hobbit KOME game I am impressed by the Alliance based chat facility and think that this would make an interesting aside from the actual game. Whether this is making it more like Eve online I don't know but I would greatly like your help in me realising this as a possibility. I e mailed the dev team and they asked me to raise it in the forums to see what the people think.

Any suggestions would be awesome, you can also tel me if I am dreaming. I would just love something to continue my domination of the universe whilst on the train to work. Can't very well take the desktop with me............hrm!

This sounds a little like playing the game...when not playing the game. Everything that you do has to be performed by you sitting in the cockpit of your ship, at least in the current incarnation. If you could buy and sell stock via an app, then you wouldn't be able to fly anywhere else that your current docked location, so there would be no profit to be had. The ambassador idea sounds intriguing but what would they be used for? And why would the player, a simple, but skilled, pilot even have an ambassador?

My fears of an app like this would be it being monetised in some way, like one of those awful games where you can buy 1000 good/credits/foodles for £25. You know, the apps that end up on the front cover of the Mail or on the morning programs as kids load up their parent credit cards with frivelous, easy to make purchases.
