When I was working on my undergrad degree, I found the progress bar really useful. :/

I dunno. I guess it's part of the unknown and exploratory aspects of the game that you haven't a clue how close you are to getting to the next rank.

I've been Novice in combat for a while and I imagine I still have a way to go to the next level. I'm fine with the current system as it fits in with the rest of the game.
