Elite Rank and Founders World

Tonight I received my first Elite rank from the pilots federation for trading:

I know I know, everyone has one.. but that's not going to damper my excitement. I've been hanging out for one of these since I started playing a few years ago.

Now for a dumb question (as I probably should know the answer even though I don't). What's a founders world permit? I received 2 of these messages when my elite message came through:

It doesn't appear to be the name of a system from what I can see on the galaxy map. I saw some forum messages where people said they had these permits but it doesn't ring a bell to me what it actually means. What's so special about it anyway?

It enables you to get to Jameson Memorial station orbiting around Founders World in the Shinrarta Dezhra system.

That station has all ships and all modules available for a 10% discount, which is the perk. Also the home system of the Pilots Federation.

Shinrarta Dezhra / Founders World is where the people who either pledged £150 or more in kickstarter had option to begin the game. Or as you just found out you also gain a permit once elite is hit.

You have a few factions there which as far as I know dont do much right now with rep and an engineer 'lives' in the system.

Jamison Memorial station has every ship in the game available along with every module all at a 10% discount. thanks

It is also a popular system for griefers as they know that once a player obtains an Elite rank they will often go to Jameson Memorial for the ship/module discounts. Proceed there in Open mode at your own risk.

Having all ships and all modules available in a one-stop-shop is really nice. The discount is icing on the cake but even if stuff was actually more expensive it'd still be worth it for the sheer convenience factor when you have worked out a new build and want to try it out. (though of course there's still the engineers merry-go-round to run...)

You can also see by checking the GalMap that all of the Engineer base locations have been plotted out from the Founder's World system.

The travel distance to each of these Engineer bases is very close to the same when leaving from Jameson Memorial.

Be careful if you enter Shinrarta Dezhra in Open. Safer to go there in Solo/private groups, you'll avoid the gankers that infest the popular systems in the Bubble.

Welcome to Shinrarta!
Along with Jameson Memorial and Lori Jameson, we have the following places nearby:
- Bunda - Winters-controlled Anarchy. Useful for merit farming and for any stuff best done in anarchy.
- Delkar - All ring types, Pristine reserves. Useful for any mining needs.

Jameson's Memorial will quickly become your favorite base of operations.

If you travel there in Open pay very close attention to the speed limit.

You do have to register your Elite status to guarantee access to Founders world at the Pilots Federation office at Hutton Orbital, when you dock there, go to contacts and scroll down to the option after free Anaconda to unlock it.

;)

Cruel... But funny... [big grin]

Heh. If they're really elite, they'll get it and already have done the trip. If not they'll have to head out and register.

Thanks everyone, I'll check it out when I need some upgrades. I usually buy ships from LYR systems as you get 15% discount.

OP, congrats!

I've made Jameson's Memorial my home base. If you do, here's a heads up: Sometimes it's forced into lockdown, so plan for the unexpected.

No, cruel is recommending they fly to Hutton Orbital in their Anaconda. :D
