Elite Shop (none in-game items)

Crossed my mind to help chip in some cash to help run the websites, servers etc once the game goes live that perhaps an on-line E D focussed shop could be set up. Products bought might include, off the top of my head:

• Posters
• Official Tshirts/apparal
• Ship models/designs for model home assembly
• Collectibles - E D inspired game cards, badges etc

it has appeared in a good few threads here there and everywhere..

the crutch of which suggest that alternative revenue streams will be explored and nothing is ruled out as yet, including in game items,

One of the better selling items might be ecards like birthday cards with a mark III cobra on it etc
Or maybe a ship with lasers firing saying sorry I blew you up
Or for a Christmas card, the writing could say "I bet you are glad you got this card rather that what it depicts" with a picture of a Braben pullover

This should be easy for them to design and set up and cheap for us to buy so that the revenue comes from quantity.

Always high quality... so Good Elite T-shirts, prints hats etc.

Then maybe dicast models available.

I agree. I still have two high quality t-shirts that I got from a certain (embarrassing) fan club that are still usable after 20 years. In the meanwhile, I've gone through a plethora of low quality T's of pretty much all other types (not just fan T's, but store-bought stuff as well).

The long-lasting ones leave a long-lasting impression.

A shop like that would be quite nice, however it was one of the devs that said they are focusing only on the game just now, and I'd guess probably will be for some time even after release.
