Fake comedy advert aside, here's the story. During the FDev Create Your Own Rare Good competition, I came up with the idea for an item of jewellery that represented the planets of a star system. After all, that's what all the high rollers in 3301 gotta be wearing* at their fancy charity galas and Imperial weddings and whatnot, right?
We got the Hutton Mug instead, but the idea stayed with me and shortly after I chanced upon a very talented lady who makes rings like this of our own solar system, Sol. I asked if she was up for a custom piece, and showed her my designs... Anyway, after back and forth and tweaking and all that, plus two months of hard work, it arrived!
Yes, this thing is for real, it's the real deal, band of platinum-gold, set with diamonds and sapphires to represent the star and planets. Now I am the proud owner of what surely has to be the ultimate in Elite Dangerous bling.
