Horizons Elite temporary files

As the post topic suggests im curious about the appdata side of the temporary files for elite dangerous, i often clean my appdata folders because well, they are temporary folders within windows, spyware and malware love these areas to populate. The question i must ask if anyone knows is it safe to delete the 30Gb of data from appdata folder without compromising elite's program data? if its not is it possible we could get the data saves elsewhere like in a non roaming/temp folder??

WEll not really since that's where the program files live.

C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\elite-dangerous-64

well gosh thats a bit silly, you would think being windows it was under program files.
I was under the impression they changed it within the last few months, and it was only in AppData for older players. Yeah, it was stupid to put in AppData.

There was a trick to getting it to install in the same folder your ED Launcher was installed to. Search for it, but I think you installed the Launcher, then created a folder called Products inside the EDLaunch folder, and only THEN downloaded & installed the actual game.

I'm not sure if you can easily move it after it's already been installed (without uninstalling & then reinstalling it). It's probably possible, but better to search for how someone has already done it, rather than me guessing.
