Elite through oculus, steam or launcher

I do have a question which is slightly ot. I own a Rift and do get this annoying headset disconnection quite frequently. Is there a way to return to Elite after the headset did reconnect. It normally reconnects in a matter of a second, but the HMD is dark and i have to restart Elite.

Did someone find a solution for returning to Elite without a restart of the game. And if so, does the launcher play a role in this solution?

Thx for listening and sorry for being slightly (?) off topic.
that sounds like a display driver crash..are you overclocking your card? ED has had many issues regarding OC'd cards.

to the OP, install ED as you normally would, to your C drive, and everything should do what you want it to. installing to oculus or steam means more resources up on your PC that are not needed.

Great advice Mr Tingleball.. there is no need to mess around with installing for steam or Oculus if you already have an install file for ED on your PC
but.. if you happen to have Oculus installed it will run in the background when you launch ED from your desktop (-:

have you tried unchecking the unverified apps thingy in the oculus menu?

Using the ED Launcher, ED can be on whatever drive you like. I would think using the Oculus key would require you to have it on the same drive as all other Oculus Home stuff.
