Elite VR cockpit - Oculus settings

does anyone play ED with this app? For those unaware there is a great tool for VR users called Elite VR cockpit that can be found here: https://github.com/dantman/elite-vr-cockpit

I am having trouble setting this up. i installed everything and i get all the floaty buttons. The tool simulates a kind of virtual hotas and forces you to use it. It also disables the analog sticks from Oculus controllers.

Id really like to use my normal oculus controllers for flying and just have floaty buttons for additional hotkey. Can someone with experience advise?

also, why is such a basic function not include in VR for a game with 1000 functions, each oculus controller has barely 4 usable buttons!

id still suggest for devs to add more VR support, i havent seen any additional features since purchase some year or two ago.

if some guy can make it, surely a team of professionals can do aswell.

Controls with no haptic are not going to work for a game like this. Maybe a fun arcade experience would be ok, not anything approaching sim, like ED.

while that is your opinion, my experience with VR simulators would suggest that this could be a very welcome addition to ED.

As for VR Cockpit, I couldn't get it to work neither.
For Oculus I've found Holocab (https://weirdwizarddave.itch.io/holocab) which is similar consent, which is more suited for Oculus.
