Elite with PS VR 2 - newbie

Hi, maybe someone can help me. I have the native ED version NOT the Steam one and want to play it in VR with my PS VR 2. So i installed the PS VR2 trough Steam and also tried OpenComposite but the PS VR 2 does´nt appear in ED to select as HMD. Can someone help me - step by step?

I don't know if the the Steam PlayStation VR2 app is essential, but if it is you may be limited in launching ED via Steam.
It is possible via your Frontier account to apply for a Steam passkey to run your native ED version via Steam, I did this for one of my copies of the game.

You could also try adding the /vr binary to the Target line as below and see if the game launches in VR.
My game location is as follows.
Note the " marks around the path which is essential
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch\EDLaunch.exe" /vr

Other than that I don'r really have any more ideas as I use a Meta Quest 3 not a PS Headset.

Hi,

I don't think specific HMD brands or models are listed . If you go to ED options and graphics, then under the 3D section choose HMD headphones. You will still need to run Steam VR, but that is all I have to do with my Frontier ED copy.

I have used 3 Pimax HMDs (the 4K, 8K, and Crystal) and "Pimax" has never shown up in options to be specifically chosen, but choosing HMD Headphones has allowed all my HMDs to work.

I can't think of anything else to try and I'm not sure if a PS VR HMD may bring other issues when using it on a PC.
