EliteDangerous doesn't launch on HMD (rift)

Hi,

I just bought a rift specially for ED, but when I launch the game (EDx64), I have display on my main screen, I can choose VR quality setting, but I can't change display other than main monitor.

And on my HMD I have a gray grid saying that elitedangerousx64 doesn't launch.

I can play DCS, 3dmark other third party apps.

You need to select HMD (headphones) in the 3D settings then change your Win10 playback device to Rift

Thanks for your answer but I don't find the options you are talking about. Is that on NVpanel, windows, ED config panel ?

It is in ED Options under Graphics. It is the 3D option. I have just checked and it only shows up/is available if your rift is connected.

Try connecting your rift then re starting ED. It should start, then you should be able to make the changes on the main screen. Once I did this the game started in my HMD.

I'm having this same issue though I don't have the option in 3D...only None, Anaglyph, Side by side....The Rift works fine with Home and all other titles. I've tried a re-install and that did not help. It works fine using SteamVR

If you didn't get ED from the oculus store, make sure you check allow unknown sources in setup in the oculus software.
