  • Fixed a problem with the Low Temperature Diamond commodity not decreasing its demand level as players sell commodity units to a market that demands it when the faction controlling that market has any state active in that starsystem.
I'm a bit of a noob, but is this a "nerf" from a practical point of view? Mine you, I'm not complaining if it is!

The obvious question, of course, is whether this just applies to LTDs, or if it also applies to Tritium, Agronomic Treatment, Painite, and the other core gems which got this behaviour added in 3.7

(If so, why not mention them? If not, why single out LTDs?)

Guess we'll find out pretty quickly tomorrow...

Curious how this pans out.
I'm a bit at loss why stuff like this is left in the game for months and then suddenly adjusted.
Either fix it within days or just leave it in.

Why do FD communicate on twitter and not here?
Maybe they are scared of us!?
They do communicate on here, but you just don't pay any attention:

Hey Commanders,

We have updated the OP with another fix! We will update you if there are any more changes.

Hmm...sounds like I better stop hunting Thargoids and do some more mining tonight. Just to be on the safe side and to keep some money on the bank

I remember they left a bug in powerplay for like 3 months where the power play combat zones that spawn when expanding had the npcs spawn without weapons.

I dont know how things are managed in Fdev, but their priority list is vastly different from a user's.

There will always be gold mines. New players without easy credits == less paint jobs sold.

True, but what I liked about mining is that it was/is solid income without resorting to any exploits (I never bothered with exploiting "the Egg", since mining pays/paid well enough without any additional exploits).

I do not know if this is just a minor balance thing (and mining stays profitable enough to finance FCs and other shiny toys without slaving away in the mines for days on end) or if it's "THE NERF(tm)" that finally kills mining for good. We'll see tomorrow, but just like in RL: having money is better than needing money ;)

So the demand goes down due to people selling? Seems like that makes perfect sense.
I believe that's what we, in University, referred to as "supply and demand" mechanics, something that has been around since Ug the caveman realized that he could hunt more meat than he could eat and started trading it for baskets.

It's good to see that FDev, a mere 50,000 years or so after the fact, have discovered it as well.

Yes, I do mean that.

Better nate than lever.

Originally it would be,as you seem to be suggesting, a bug fix.
Once they leave a bug in game for weeks on end, it becomes a nerf when they take it away. :)
I understand that leaving a bug in long term becomes normal gameplay...sorta. However if they acknowledged it earlier on regardless of having an immediate fix, then sorry Charlie is what I say. I don't see this as nerf while those that stockpiled will. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't complaining that I could dump 1k LTDs in a high sell system and make a few billion off the bat however it won't be as quick and personally I am ok with that anyway. Makes sense to me at any rate.

So you know Ug as well? He is good at getting bison burgers for a discount.
