EliteDangerous64.exe has encountered a problem and cannot continue

Hi guys, this is a recent problem. I am a steam user not an Epic user and have been playing for a long while now.
I went to logon last night and my game crashes to the frontier error reporter.

EliteDangerous64.exe has encountered a problem and cannot continue.

Have sumitted a ticket.

I get as far as the elite logo, just before graphics card profiling etc.

I have reinstalled the game via steam.

Any help would be mostly appreciated it's driving me mad.

That looks like a missing DirectX file, try reinstalling DirectX
