Firstly, before I bore everyone with the details, I'd like to thank Eid LeWeise (Ben) for his immense help in organising the meet. Being local to the venue meant a lot of input from him and I owe him a huge debt of gratitude for helping out.
I'd also like to thank the various people who helped out by bringing kit of various types; Void Sun (Carl) and his projector for the streams etc, Wokawidget and John Whitehouse for bringing their gaming kit along, Brumster for bringing some of his tracker kit along and Bikky for bringing along some network kit to help things along.
A massive set of thanks to the various people who offered up activities to fill the time in between all the catching up and boozing. Selezen Lake (and Derri) once again for bringing the always excellent Elite Encounters along for people to play in a number of sessions. Iain McNeil for a superb mash-up of E : D docking and Darts (who won that in the end)? PhoenixDFire (Colin) for bringing his excellent rehash of the X-Wing board game with superb Sidewinder and Cobra models! (I WILL play at LaveCon)! Also to Ed for bringing his Space Traders game along (couldn't help wondering, halfway through, if the designers had half-inched ideas from a certain well-known space-trading game....) I enjoyed that session immensely even though I lost spectacularly! Also thanks to Ed for providing a quiz to round off the evening after we'd wined (or beered) and dined.... Who got the T-Shirt in the end? I missed that....
Finally, I'd like to thank the ever irrepressible and supportive Psykokow for coming along and helping out in his own unique style!
And now, most important of all, a big mahoosive THANK YOU to everyone who came... The list is a long one but your company on Friday evening at the before-meet-meet and on Sunday at the After-meet-meet was a joy as always and to everyone who came, whether for the whole weekend or for part of it, thank you for coming, lending your support and making it the fabulous weekend it turned out to be... Without your support and turning up it would just been a dull weekend for me in the bar so thank you again....
I, and a couple of others, took a photo or two over the weekend... I'll post mine when I've recovered (am knackered at the moment) and I'm sure the others will also share theirs too....
So, until next time... Thank you ALL!
(Next time? Yes... there will be a next time! Give me some time to catch my breath and I'll start the ball rolling soon - emphatically not ™!)
