Just doing my first engineer mission, Soontill relics, I have them, landed at Khun, deployed SRV but unable to see how to get to base - am I doing it wrong?

You LAND YOUR SHIP at the base. No SRV involved with any Engineer base access.

Very wrong. You gotta request docking and land on a pad of Long Sight Base - just like any other port.

Are you even invited (have you reached at least 300 ly distance from your starting point)?

Yes - I have the other requirements and have been invited, was just struggling finding how to deliver cargo - I'm OK with requesting docking etc.

Just thought I needed SRV

Thinking about it you probably can get in with an SRV as well. Request docking and you'll be asked to drive into the nearest garage ;)
