I understand I have to travel 300ly from my original career starting point. And quite honestly...I have no idea where that is since I started this character in 2014. I have 174 of the 300 required. I'm just not sure in which direction I should be heading to get the remainder 126ly. Is there a way to figure out where my starting point was?

Head to Maia and pick up some meta alloys that will fufill the requirement for 300 light years and you'll have the meta alloys for Felicity Farseer as well.
He'll need to scan a few systems on the way. Felicity needs an exploration rank of Scout before you are introduced.
